I have lots of experience on this subject when my oldest went to school I would volunteer with all autistic boys, she was the only girl in her class for years. She is now a happy-calm (Unless she goes into toddler mode) well adjusted adult. CALMING METHODS DO WORK! Also check our Calm child Products you will be surprised at how well they work and have been used on adults as well.
STAY ON TASK AND SCHEDULES - CHILDREN GET BORED JUST LIKE US
MY TWO FAVORITE ITEMS
My Schedule Example:
Wake up and Smile Talk with your child first thing about how was there sleep and how are they feeling. Let them know you love them and here is the schedule for the day and here is the weather. Easy SIMPLE...Do the Basic Bathroom things Have your child go back and make there bed or help them make it with love and laughter Get your child off to school and or if you home school (here are some extra tips) last 5 years I home-schooled and 8 with my youngest. Get the wiggles out first things and exercise, dance away. I worked from home and still do - I would sit my children down the first 4 hours and school along side them. My desk was in the same room if I had a sign that said working they knew be quiet, when they were younger. Then we would take a break our breaks in between Break One-Wiggles and Bathroom and light Breakfast Break Two- Make lunch together and eat together Break Three - Art Time - Lets get Creative Break Four - Outside Time and or if we have to do inside (weather) Make a tent and play Woop Woop - You made it pat your back and hug your child! Put Money in Saving Jar Mine says "Schedule Are Calming" every day and then at the end of the month, If everyone followed the schedule - Go out and do something fun or buy a book, board games, and or craft. OR SPEND ON YOURSELF... Sigh
